For the buffet buffs this place (pronounced as O-too-too, telephone code of Mumbai) this place is your happy hunting ground. This sprawling, naturally lit space with its floor-to-high-ceiling glass walls lets in the lush greenery outside. A sushi bar, a lounge bar, wine-tasting room and a two-storey glass encased wine cellar that stocks more than 1,500 bottles. Superb crunchy salads, fresh seasonal ingredients, live Caesar Salad station, thin-crust wood-fired pizzas… everything you can expect from a 5-star menu. A few Indian surprises include Appams with Stews and Keema Pao. Sushi to kebabs, pizzas to biryanis and a ice-cream sundae counter.

Ciao questo e Botticino, Trident’s first-floored, spacious, high-ceilinged, airy, Italian restaurant . There is traditional Italian cuisine with a contemporary flair here. Start with the awesome wine tasting in the enoteca (complimentary to all guests at dinner) and end in the unique and gleaming Grappa Lounge (the only one in Mumbai). Here, amid contemporary and refined simplicity (extensive use of beige Botticino Italian marble and pastel furnishings) top quality ingredients shine through. Under-lit glass flooring in some sections (Volare table) of the restaurant accentuates this sense of floating in space. But it’s the food which further accentuates this heady feeling. The menu at Botticino includes Porcini Mushrooms, Risotto, Cured Ham, Pancetta, Polenta and a variety of seafood.

For Japanese(they do look cute) lovers, this is your Abraham’s Bosom, the best Japanese restaurant in town. Its services are impeccable and the food is so delicious that you will keep coming up for more. They are best known for soft shell crabs and sushi rolls, mouthwatering isn’t it! The interiors are of course Japanese chic with mostly red, yellow and wood. The exuberance at the Teppanyaki table is just amazing.

Desi delight at K&K – ITC Grand Central


If you are a true desi foodie and simply lluuvvee to smell the aromas of the wafting Indian flavors this is your nirvana. The critics swear by their desi tadkas and delicious combination of various condiments. Hyderabadi, Lucknowi, North Indian, Mughlai– its all on the menu, all you need to do is place your order and wait till they appear. Murg angara nd dal Bukhara are specialities.

‘Fishing around’ at KONKAN CAFÉ- Vivanta by Taj


The best place for coastal cuisine in Mumbai and a delight for non vegetarians. They serve a variety of fresh juices. DO try the prawn curry and semidry chicken along with appam and malabar paranthas. The flavors are authentic and the spices are added in the exact quantity to give just the right flavor and texture to the food.
In desserts if you are in the mood to try something different then Pan shot is the way to go. Overall a very good experience with impeccable service.
