People live in Mumbai for either (or all) of the 3 reasons:

1. To fulfill their dreams

2. To gain fame (yes, includes becoming an actor too)

3. To live in Mumbai, to breathe in Mumbai- For the city it is.

While people pursue their dreams and gain the fame they deserve, breathing in the air of Mumbai becomes an addiction. You feel like living in the best of the areas, you want to be a part of the daily life in Mumbai and the first step to do that is finding a place that makes you feel at home.

One of such places in Mumbai is the Nepean Sea Road located near the Malabar Hills, South Mumbai. The area is named after Sir Evan Nepean, 1st Baronet, a British politician and administrator, and the Governor of Bombay. This road was renamed to Lady LaxmibaiJagmohandasMarg in the 1960s, but as is the case with many other British street names that were renamed, it continues to be referred to as Nepean Sea Road. Here are 5 main reasons why and how Nepean Sea Road is the most aspirational address of Mumbai:

SoBo? SoBo!

Though this seems like an absurd statement, every Mumbaikar knows the meaning behind it. Living in South Bombay (Now Mumbai) has its perks. Just stating the fact that you live in this area shows the kind of life you lead and the life you want to lead.

Job opportunities all over the place!

Nepean Sea Road is a place filled with job opportunities. All the major Multi-National Companies have their branches and headquarters in the entire area widening your horizon for work. With institutions like the Reserve Bank of India and Bombay Stock Exchange near the area, you can be in touch will all the major happenings in the city.

Bring out the sportsperson in you!

Few of the major sports clubs have been a part of this area. Bombay Gymkhana, Willingdon Sports Club and the Turf club of Mahalaxmi Race Course are few of the well-known clubs in South Bombay. Being a part of Nepean Sea Road, going to these clubs becomes more of a leisure walk and not a one day trip!

Good education at your doorstep!

Well, the best part about living in a place that’s so culturally and socially advanced is that you have the best value for education. Be it good schools, or good colleges, you have it all. Orchid International School, Gopi Birla High School, The Bombay International School  (BIS) which are on the list of the finest schools, are locate in this area.

Smooth commute around the city

Again, one of the perks of living in this area is the ease of travelling. A place that connects the entire Mumbai through Railways and Roadways, you can always reach your destination without any commotion. Western railway connects you to most of the city and South Bombay, (Now Mumbai) being excluded of Rickshaws can take you all around in the yellow black taxis.

Though Nepean Sea is one of the most expensive areas of India, as every moment passes by while  you live there, it all fits into the picture and you realize how worthy this place is! Swanky locality, comfort and livability at it’s peak and soaring real estate prices that add on to your asset value 5 multiples than expected.
